Even if you do get a job for a guidebook, or any other substantial piece of writing, most experienced writers will tell you that research is the most expensive part of writing. Writing travel pieces is not easy. It takes a combination of a guidebook and a job at a top travel magazine to make it a profitable career. Good luck finding both.

The majority of road rules don't apply to scooters. At first glance, it seems that way. On most roads, even the skinny ones, there is enough room for a couple of cars side by side. Then you can get as many scooters onto the bitumen as possible, and one or two on it. It is fascinating to see how they all dodge each other while doing the same thing. Traffic lights are advisory, after all.
